Dubai to host Pak-Eng T20 games The PCB said that next month's two T20 international matches against England will be played in Dubai Sports City. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed this after it reached an agreement with the host organisation. PCB confirmed that the two matches would be played on February 19 and 20 at Dubai Sports City with another series between the Pakistan and England "A" teams planned in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi later in the year. "It is a good deal for us. We need to give our team warm-up games before the T20 World Cup in the West Indies in April-May as we are also the defending champions," chief operating officer of PCB Wasim Bari said. He said the series would give both Pakistan and England the much needed practice ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup. "It is also an opportunity for our selectors to try out new players in this form of the game," Bari said. PCB is expecting a good return from the series as a sport management company of Dubai, Chapal Sports have signed a multi-million rupees deal with the Dubai Sports City. Under the agreement, the company holds all media and sponsorship rights for the series including ground advertising, title and other sponsorship and endorsement possibilities with players of both teams. Pakistan play just one Twenty20 match in Australia and then the two games against England before the World Cup.
