Desi Cartman
how the hell do we force these mofos to take up this issue of students getting killed seriously without making a big fuss about it? if the cops were acting responsibly' date=' do you think people would have gone to these lengths?[/quote'] if you think Indian media has helped then you are mistaken. Aussie cops work at a pace for White or non white victim. they will take time but will resolve most serious crimes. There is a well known problem in Aus of fewer cops than we had 10 yrs ago. Plus the cops cant beat someone or arrest 10 innocents and make an announcement. So it will take time ....
IKnowU
If you guys havent realised all the attacks so far in INdia have been done by Indians themselves. Yet we see politicians and the media crying fould over racism 24/7. How are they going to explain themselves when finally the truth is out. Botched insurance scam and domestic fight. The people whoe are really suffering is the India country itself and its people. The media just made it worse.

The simple reason is that while the former is typical and not news worthy, the latter can become systemic unless controlled and hence is news worthy. Also, another big difference is that the guy has been caught unlike the racist cases where cops kept blaming the students for walking alone, etc and didn't even acknowledge that there was a problem on hand. Desi Cartman
There is a difference between routine acts of violence and acts of violence targeting people of a particular minority race/community. The simple reason is that while the former is typical and not news worthy' date=' the latter can become systemic unless controlled and hence is news worthy.[/quote'] How do you know that only Indian people were being targeted when the media in India only reported crime against Indians. Like I have been saying from day 1 , the population of Indians in Aus rose sharply and a lot of Indians work during odd hours hence they were attacked. Racial abuse and attacks have happened and will happen in future as well but not all attacks are racist. There are 10s of cases of theft in Australia every week but the ones where Indians are victims are assumed racist attacks and that is wrong. I remember listening to countless victims on radio where they said " he asked for my wallet n mobile and no it wasnt racist". Now how many times has Indian media reported that a victim has made a statement declaring it wasnt racist. Secondly, do you think just because Indian media / politicians made some statements , the racist attacks stopped ? How come there has been no racist attack in the last few months if it was so bad that Indians were being targeted at every opportunity Also, another big difference is that the guy has been caught unlike the racist cases where cops kept blaming the students for walking alone, etc and didn't even acknowledge that there was a problem on hand. The difference is that police gives more importance to serious cases, they cant go after every petty thief and thats the way it is for all victims. I live here and I have seen Indian students flash ipods and Macs on the train at 11pm. The worst was when I saw an Indian count cash ( atleast $700) on the train that too after 8 pm. Do you call this sane ? shouldnt the cops tell them to be careful ? When indians come here they think its Aus and its safe .. the reality is that not all places are safe even in Aus. As for the serious crimes, ALL cases have been solved except for one where the boy was stabbed in the middle of the park in dark. They are still investigating so hopefully they will find the culprit soon. In all other cases Indians have attacked indians .. especially in murder cases

Desi Cartman
Yes..having said that' date=' that scum Dhillon who thought that his child was dead & perhaps left him to die should be in jail until he dies.[/quote'] It was his room mate's child. He drove around for 3 hrs while the child was alive and then left him on the roadside for ants to feed on him while the poor kid was still breathing and his eyes were still moving :((
