Rail Budget 2010

Mamata is reading out the budget right now. But it seems she is making too much promises and a huge lot of those promises concentrated on Bengal. She is announcing thousands and thousands of crores for railways. Has she consulted anybody before making that budget and giving out all those figures :giggle: Hope that she does not make Indian Railways an entity running in losses. I am surely a bit skeptical about it. Laloo had made Indian railways a profitable entity after such a long time and hope that Mamata does not turn it into a loss-incurring entity.

Useless budget .Why do they hand over such a an important post of railways to such idiots . Look at the development in the aviation and road sector and look at railways( no major mega project to talk abt and now they want to diversify into building hospitals museums and bottling plants ,How abt some decent basic amenities to passengers at stations ,idiots)

Look at the development in the aviation and road sector and look at railways( no major mega project to talk abt and now they want to diversify into building hospitals museums and bottling plants ' date='How abt some decent basic amenities to passengers at stations ,idiots)[/quote'] I also felt it was BS .. what was she saying about hospitals, museums and bottling plants ... and why all those Tagore Museums and too many things related to Bengal .. it seems to her West Bengal centric budget rather than rail budget .. and she is keeping too many projects and I feel that the Railways will gain go back to losses after such huge expenditure of which most were based on useless activities rather than actual amenities to the passengers the only interesting part I found was that she has made private sector investment more viable
