talent is merely ability. it says nothing of what you do with that ability. picking balls is not a talent issue. i know which balls to hit and which to leave alone just as well as sachin does. you don't have ot be a rocket surgeon to figure it out. but that doesn't mean i have an ounce of sachin's talent. knowing what to do with talent is the finishing of the product. ashraful was once as talented as any in the land, sadly and inexplicably, that baseline skill is no longer there.
yeah, but who is to say shot selection isn't a talent? some have it, some don't. wait a sec, why the hell are you debating anything about him? the subject of the matter, is that ashraful is crap, and should have been gone a long time ago. you agree?

He's the BEST Bangladeshi batsman, I feel. He's been a bit out of form but for someone as experienced as him, I don't think it would be difficult to bounce back from the slump.

Good, needs a kick up the rear. Being able to play great shots doesn't make you a great batsmen. The coach was interviewed recently stating that they needed more pressure placed on the top batsmen from the up and comers...I wondered if that meant Ashraful's number might be up soon. He won't be missed, average of around 23 - that's easily replaceable. Might be the motivation he needs to start batting with so discipline, will also send a message to the other players
