spectre Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Excellent partnership, very much needed for this match :giggle: to screw up India's victory chance A lethargic partnership scoring at less than 5 per over when the RRR was over 7. Now its above 9 Great going guys! keep it up wait a min, some people said these two deserve test chances :hysterical: they can dominate top teams hell yeah its painful to watch this play, i have switched over to gaming (
ViruRulez Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Always felt these two play for themselves rather than the Indian team and they proved it yet again
pappu_kanghi Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Pathetic thread. Calling Kohli selfish? He is still playing. Let the match finish first. Fake fan. Now dhoni goes. Is he selfish too?
ViruRulez Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Pathetic thread. Calling Kohli selfish? He is still playing. Let the match finish first. Fake fan. Now dhoni goes. Is he selfish too? what did Dhoni do .. he tried to accelerate after Kohli and Nohit had increased the RRR to 10 for their selfish goals .. it should have been maintained at least under 7.5 or 8 rather then looking after their own 50s and position in the team
spectre Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 Pathetic thread. Calling Kohli selfish? He is still playing. Let the match finish first. Fake fan. Now dhoni goes. Is he selfish too? another fanatic. sick these two have pushed others to go berserk and inturn throw their wickets, because they have little time to keep scoring at 10+ Dhoni had to go for virtually everything, same with happen with Raina, Yusuf and rest of the cards
ludhianvi Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Its not that easy chasing 366 with 2 wicks down and having two unestablished players at the crease trying to build a partnership.

Atleast i am not a loser who changes his view about players after every game. Calling Kohli a selfish player isnt the right thing. This is a South African team look at their fielding and bowling and target they have set. You cant just go and smack every ball especially when you lose two early wickets. If they also had got out early you would have still cursing them.
pappu_kanghi Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Its not that easy chasing 366 with 2 wicks down and having two unestablished players at the crease trying to build a partnership. Nope they are super humans. They have to hit every ball for six. If they cant do that they are selfish.
sm332 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Its not that easy chasing 366 with 2 wicks down and having two unestablished players at the crease trying to build a partnership. but is it difficult to play with intent? Did those two ever give you the notion that they were playing to win? If they did, then I am not sure we were watching the same game!
Sachin_Rulez Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Completely agree. Particularly Rohit should be kept away from ODIs...... Raina has been treated unfairly by Dhoni. Despite being consistent, he never got promoted and all the new comers get chance to bat at the top of the order. When Raina used to come at no.3 or 4, he used to put big scores. WTF???

No one is suggesting they needed to hit 6 sixes an over .But if you felt they were playing to win than we werent watching the same game.
Ramzz Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Calling them selfish is totally uncalled for. Rohit should have been held back since he is better when the RR is not too high...he takes time to settle down. Kohli was trying his level best to get some boundaries...but he is no Sachin...who could maneuver the spinners into gaps like GOD. I like the way the saffie spinners were slowing it down and dropping short when the batsmen were trying to go after them.
champ Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 india never looked like winning this match from the start but atleast these 2 tried to stay in the game .. and if u ask me who showed more intent to score big shots .. it was certainly rohit .. its also slow and difficult to score boundaries i think ..
pappu_kanghi Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 once again' date=' you are over simplifying. No one is suggesting they needed to hit 6 sixes an over .But [b']if you felt they were playing to win than we werent watching the same game. Grow up dude. Every player plays to win. You are accusing them of not playing to win? Do you even know what that means? That was the same case with players like Malik and akmal from Pakistan. They are under match fixing scanner. So think before you open your mouth. Its easy for you to sit in your AC room and call someone selfish.

If they also had got out early you would have still cursing them. If they got out giving their best I or nobody else would have been cursing them .. they made the life of the rest of the batsmen to follow at their own expense .. I can guarantee they were playing for a position in the team instead of playing for their country .. none of our batsmen including even non-regulars like Karthik would have blocked so many balls while chasing 360+ .. I can almost assure even a Manish Pandey would have not wasted so many balls leave apart anybody else .. this is an ODI and that too a huge chase and not a test

Well done

They never appreciate the other team.

Guest Hiten. Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Umm, you do realize that India is playing without SEVEN of their specialist ODI players right ? Please give me an example of ONE team that has seven replacements and chased down 300+ in any condition or wicket. I am not a big fan of Rohit but if you're expecting superhuman effort from any of our replacement then you're just fooling yourself.
