The stampede took place after the gate of Kripalu Maharaj's ashram, 60 kms from here, collapsed during distribution of food, ADG (Law and Order) Brij lal said in Lucknow. The devotees were being given food besides utensils on the occasion of the "shradh" of the wife of Kripalu Maharaj. About 10,000 people had gathered at the ashram in Mangarh area under Kunda police station area when the incident occurred. The news channels are reporting that the no. of dead now are 65. And 200+ are injured in the stampede. I really hope that there would be a day when people stop blindly following the religious leaders including babas, maulanas, malvis, maharaj etc. .. I think only education can reduce this blind beliefs on religious leaders and I hope that day would soon come in our country RIP the dead
