Nope your stand is not clear at all. the reason is that you simply dont mind an umpire giving a wrong decision at all ... infact you come up varous excuses to sweep them under the rug. You really dont have a case at all here because it is common knowledge (backed by tons and tons of evidence) that Human umpires simply cannot guarantee the sort of precision you want in certified writing for H/E .. this is were you are NOT fair at all.
It is very simple, Bossbhai. And I am going to try and keep this my last post in this thread as I dont feel there is going to be any more constructive discussion on these lines. It is not that umpires dont make mistakes. To view it that way would be to miss the woods for the trees! It is all about implementation of technology such that it helps the on field umpires do their jobs better - while still retaining the human element of intuition about the game. To me, Hawkeye has not been implemented in such a fashion. Which provokes my ire. If you are happy with it, you are welcome to be. Just dont expect me to take in that canard, with all due respect. And forget everything else - just take a note of what players are saying about Hawkeye and its part to play and as a result their general stand on the UDRS. Finally I do not see the day where the game is run sans the umpires. That will not happen, in my opinion. And it should not happen. You know, machines are better with consistency than humans. Why not recruit machines to play cricket, then? I am sure you get the drift. Thanks, and it has been a fun discussion.
