King Tendulkar
Well it isn't.. “I was never coached; I was never told how to hold a bat.†- Donald Bradman That means HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO HOLD A BAT PROPERLY AND IS NOT BEST EVER. Thats exactly why he is not best ever. His techniques would be failure now and are out dated and prehistoric. Just confirms sachin is the best Link to comment

King Tendulkar
So that means 30 years later ' date=' batsman averaging in 30s would be better than sachin. Don't let emotion overtake logic. We have no evidence to suggest Sachin is better than Don.[/quote'] You are the one showing emotion by claiming a guy form 30s is better then modern players. Sport back then was for priviliged few and were just developing techniques, tactics and rules to be honest. NO footballer, tennis player, runner or any other could even match an amateaur player from now. Do not let your emptions of 30s nostalgia prevent the truth form being seen Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Why are you trolling man? How is that a troll. I have seen footage of Jack Hobbs batting. Its was a comedy show. I have watched football from 30s/40s. It was so funny. In fact in uk they have made comedys on these. Stop being silly and proclaiming charlie chaplin era players as good as modern players Link to comment
99.94
King Tendulkar. You are just so stubborn and ignorant. I feel sorry for you. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
^ All abuse no replies. Whats the matter? In your heart you know put Bradman in a game now he would be awful!!! To try and bring players up from pre war era as greats is silly. Game was only just developing really as shown by fact he only ever toured england. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
No other sport is so absurd to claim that a player from the 30s is as good as more modern players. Yet nostalgia loonies in cricket try to do so. Thats why its so easy to rip in to this fallacy Link to comment
99.94
EXACTLY. Times have changed, Bradman didn't even get coached. These days you have a coach, a personal trainer, a personal dietician, video analysis of every bowler you could ever face, video analysis of how to better your technique. How about in a few hundreds years time people look back at Tendulkar and laugh. I bet that'd make you happy. Link to comment

However, if Bradman were born in 1970, there is no evidence to suggest he wouldn't be the best batsman by quite a margin. Link to comment

However, if Bradman were born in 1970, there is no evidence to suggest he wouldn't be the best batsman by quite a margin. The vidence of the VERY limited video footage availbale of Bradman(as he was in charlie chaplin era), suggest that if faced by the windies brutal attack of 70s it may take about 2 overs and then he could end up in hospital. The thread title should be changed to Bradman was most dominat player of his era. Or are some suggesting that he is pound for pound the greatest batter ever, as in if he played right now he would be any good? Link to comment
King Tendulkar
If Bradman played now he would average single digits Link to comment

King Tendulkar
Yes. I have made that quite clear. However' date=' that would be completely unfair.[/quote'] Well you are the sane voice then. As some are actually saying he is the best player ever, as in put him in a time machine and play him today he would be the best in world. This whole thread is waste of time. As to summarise these are the facts. 1. Bradman is the most dominant player of an era. Thus he could be called the greatest on this fact. 2. Tendulkar is in reality the greates batsman ever. As in put all the greats from the past and let them play tommorow then Tendulkar would be the best. Thus he could be called the greates batsman ever on this. Link to comment
Sachinism
Here comes the resident agent provocateur. This creature comes up with the most ridiculous and atrocious theories and then lets go off a series of subtle but provocative remarks like Lahore logic etc etc... Here is someone who abuses to the hilt freedom of speech with the silliest of theories you will ever hear provoking others to losing their cool. But this is not Indiancricketfans.com apparently. More like tendulkarfanclub.com so you can get away with anything with the mods as long as you are an active member of the flagship club. Stop getting your panties in a twist and take a moment to look at your posts. Most of them are a load of nonsense which really don't deserve a reply. I just try to keep you entertained. You can whinge and whine as much as you want about the moderation. But you've dished out plenty of abuse, so don't act all innocent when you get called out and turn this into tendulkarfanclub BS. You probably think quite highly of yourself and opinions but trust me they're nothing special. Link to comment
