satyam1729 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 bowling against top sides?:haha::haha::haha: I mean since 1990 SA , OZ , IND, PAK have been top 4 sides. Let us compare their records with our bowling http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=6;opposition=7;orderby=wickets;spanmin1=02+jan+1990;spanval1=span;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=bowling Srinath outperformed Akram Prasad outperformed Waqar Kumble outperformed everyone. So Pakistan phaast bowling were effective against SL,NZ, ENG, WI only . So here also they became expert in minnow bashing.:giggle::giggle::giggle:
Serani Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Delusions of grandeur or what? India in the 90's were almost as bad as England and all of a sudden they are in the top 4 teams for having 2 good years :haha: Im not even going to look into the stats of your troll thread.
satyam1729 Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Im not even going to look into the stats of your troll thread. No, They weren't.:haha::giggle::hysterical: http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=6;opposition=7;orderby=win_loss_ratio;spanmin1=02+jan+1990;spanval1=span;team=1;team=2;team=3;team=6;team=7;template=results;type=team
Serani Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Basically.......Akram is better than any indian fast bowler ever, and so is Waqar. Thats something you dont need to use statsguru to find out.
satyam1729 Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Basically what happened to their bowling against Hayden , Ponting , Kirsten, kallis and Sachin. Yes they were good against low ranked teams.
Serani Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Yeh actually on second thought Venkatesh Prasad is a lot better than Waqar, I mean he averages 35 but lets not forget the fact he didnt actually try against the "minnows"
satyam1729 Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 No prasad was not better than Waqar. But Prasad bowled better than Waqar against best sides of his time. This is a good thing. Just like VVS LAXMAN performed best against OZ.
Serani Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Prasad vs Aus bowling average of 46.36, SL 47.93, WI 42.27 What happen? Also his average vs Pak should not be counted, too small a sample, only 3 matches.
satyam1729 Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Why shouldn't it be counted? Waqar and Wasim also played those test. I am saying this only. Sehwag averages only 35 against Bangladesh but Yousuf average 250. So Pakistani player save their best for the worst.
Serani Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 If they save the best for the best why do Srinath and Prasad both average over 40 against Australia? maybe they saved their best for the not so best.
satyam1729 Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Because OZ players played them well. Well done to them. Murali and Warne also has a poor record against India. But my point is how can you be among the great bowlers if you don't dominate against top 3 sides. See the average of Mcgrath, Ambrose and Donald against top sides
Ranjha Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Wasim and Waqar were both great. Since they retired, pak team sucks big time.
Ahmed Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 bowling against top sides?:haha::haha::haha: I mean since 1990 SA , OZ , IND, PAK have been top 4 sides. Waqar and Wasim were sultans of swing.. Talk about fast bowling, yorkers, reverse swing: what names come to ones mind? Srinath? Prasad? :hysterical:
satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Lols, you can bring out all the stats you want but Waqar and Wasim are in a totally different league compared to these jokers... Waqar and Wasim were sultans of swing.. Talk about fast bowling, yorkers, reverse swing: what names come to ones mind? Srinath? Prasad? :hysterical: Yes they were. And stats also shows that. Their yorkers and reverse swings were effective against tail enders only:haha::haha:
Ahmed Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Yes they were. And stats also shows that. Their yorkers and reverse swings were effective against tail enders only:haha::haha: Lols then guys like Tind-ulkar, dravid, kapil dev, sidhu, ganguly, azharuddin are all tail-enders. Think before you post man.:hysterical:
satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Lols then guys like Tind-ulkar' date=' dravid, kapil dev, sidhu, ganguly, azharuddin are all tail-enders. Think before you post man.:hysterical:[/quote'] How many times has Akram and Younis dismissed Tendulkar, Dravid?:haha::haha: Now go and organise a series with Bangladesh and WI to boost the average of your players. The so called fast bowlers became pie-chuckers against top teams:hysterical::hysterical:
satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Akram dismissed Sachin-1( in 7 test) Dravid-(1 in 3 test) Ponting-(1 in 3 test) Gavaskar (0 in 4 test) Kapil Dev( 1 in 9 test) I am saying you think before writing. This is the reason Pakistan never attained no.1 ranking. You hardly won a series against a top side.
satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Waqar younis against top side. His most dismissal was Glenn Mcgrath http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/43543.html?class=1;filter=advanced;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=6;orderby=dis_dismissals;template=results;type=bowling;view=batsman_summary Minnow basher Pakistani phaast bowlers
satyam1729 Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 What about Sir Freakin AGGY Sir Aggy won a test match for India at Adelaide in 2003/04 :hysterical::hysterical:
