DomainK Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I haven't seen it, but if thats the case, it was poor strategy. If the field was set that way, it was poor strategy as well. Shows that the captain did not trust his bowler. But then he was his best bowler throughout the tournament. I come back to the feeling that they took it for granted. They just did not believe it was possible for Australia to score those runs. Somewhere along the way, they got over confident and forgot to plan things in detail.
hari504504 Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 I didn't see anything really wrong with that strategy..Ajmal as an offspinner was forcing Hussey to hit against the turn to a side of the ground where a lot of fieders were patrollng the fence.....just that this time his variations didn't catch Hussey off guard or Hussey got enough wood to clear the ropes each time..
