What was Madrid doing from 56-96? and from 2001-2010? By the time they wins something Major United would have won 5 European Cups.:haha::giggle::hysterical: You are actually calling Windies a greater side Compared to India...because they have won much in the "past" Madrid is big Zero currently and are not even one of the top 5 clubs in the world.
* European Cup/ UEFA Champions League[14] Winners (9): 1955–56*, 1956–57, 1957–58, 1958–59, 1959–60, 1965–66, 1997–98, 1999–2000, 2001–02 (* First ever winners) * UEFA Cup/ UEFA Europa League[14] Winners (2): 1984–85, 1985–86 This was what was Madrid doing since 1956. This is what your Man Utd did # European Cup/UEFA Champions League: 3 * 1967–68, 1998–99, 2007–08 # UEFA Cup Winners' Cup: 1 * 1990–91 so except one decade in 1970s(when spain was going through a political turmoil) Madrid has won a european title every decade.....beat that.........we will see when Man Utd wins it next CL

UEFA cup? You freaking Kidding me. No onbe bothers to know how many UEFA cup you have won. For that matter even ulham reached UEFA cup Finals this season and with your logic they can boast about how they have reached Finals of Europe despite failure of Temas like United and Chelsea. TBH Real Madrid is an Overarated Failure. And players like Kaiser, Pele etc etc are much ahead of Maradona. As i said my opinion wont change Unless Real do something good in next few years. Real Madrid is a big Failure. Currently even teams like Chelsea, ARsenal and Fools are ahead of them. Discussion closed. Come to Champs Leageu thread to talk more on this, This is a match thread and you are diverting it.

As each day goes by, Andy's posts are becoming more insane. Get one thing in your head, world cup is the pinnacle of football. In terms of quality, there is no doubting the fact that CL is miles ahead of the WC but not everyone watches it. My dad doesn't even know what CL is but follows most of the WC matches. There are a lot of people like him. In order to be touted as a great, you will have to achieve greatness on a stage that is seen by all and WC is one of them. Your anti-Maradona has reached epic proportions by saying Franz and Pele are miles ahead of him..no, they are NOT.

And what has Mardona done other than Lifting one WC? These players never got chance..so stop rolling.
Taking a mid-table team, Napoli, to two championships, one UEFA and Coppa Italia (he has won other titles with Barca too) don't count? This was at a time when Serie A was the epitome of club football. The fact is the world is yet to see a player impact the world cup like he did in 1986. BTW Pele has never played for a European club, does that make him any less?
Players like Mardona are Insult to the name of "Fairplay"
Oh, yeah? I didn't know that rest of the lot are all saints. Have you seen the face of Man Utd, Eric Cantona, play? * Man Utd is not the only club in whole world. It is THE club but it is not the only one. ** History does count when you are talking about a club. *** Better change your sig...Pele would have said those words in jest, there is no way in hell he would have really meant it. Here is another tidbit for you, Maradona was the first and only one of three players to have ever received a standing ovation at Bernabeu. That in itself is something a player can brag about. (Ronaldinho and Del Piero are the others)
