Lurker Posted March 14, 2008 Author Share Posted March 14, 2008 I don't understand why people get so worked up about gas prices, it goes up like 2 cents and people start worrying a lot, there are so many price increases but when it comes to gas, its get touchy Its not 2 cents increase is it now Rajeev? Last year the gas was at 2.75 and people were anxious and now its past 3:25, bordering on 3:50 so a jump of 20-25% on an already hyped cost. But I would still have been fine if this did not affect anything else. But it ultimately affects everything. Food, vegetables, meat, poultry are all now costlier than last year. If I paid 5 bucks for a pound of chicken breast I now pay 7 bucks, 8 even. And have you looked at the cost of airline tickets to India? I could get a return ticket JFK-Mumbai for 1200 on a bad day, at times I would get 1050-1100, today it is past 1500 and climbing. Imagine a family of 3-4 going to India now.
