This condition does not allow her to gain weight or store any fat in her body. She weights hardly 60 lbs at the age of 21 and must eat after every 15 minutes to stay alive. Lizzie Velasquez has to eat almost 60 meals a day to survive. When Lizzie Velasquez was born, she weighed only 2 pounds and 10 ounces. Her skin was translucent and her parents used to dress her up in doll clothes. Lizzie Velasquez stands 4 feet 2 inches tall. Lizzie Velasquez has gotten the attention of scientists all over the world and is a part of different genetic studies. Lizzie Velasquez is also blind from one eye and has limited vision in the other. Doctors cannot say with surety what will happen to Lizzie Velasquez in the long run as there are a very few similar cases.
