Herculus Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Use of A teams and long tours to Globalize Cricket There are 8 strong cricket nations. They have strong A & B teams. There are also Board President’s XI ,Chairman’s XI,U-19 etc. These teams can be send to the weaker nations more often and for longer time or tourneys organized to play the associates. In this way the associate nations will become stronger. For example : Take a nation Nepal Nepal’s tour of India 3.5 months 6 First Class Series vs India B 7 Match Pro40 Series vs India B Nepal/India A/BP XI/Canada Quadrangular Pro40 Series (Each Team 7 matches max.) 2 T20s vs India Youth 3 First Class Series vs Saurashtra 1 T20 vs Mumbai Indians Or Take a team BP XI BP XI’s South America Tour 2.5 months 3 First Class Series vs Argentina 3 First Class Series vs Belize Argentina/Belize/BP XI Tri Pro 40 Series 2 T20s vs Chile & Argentina These other teams long tour idea is both economical & feasible .The players involving just have to get full time contracts. It will help to strengthen the CRICKET WORLD.
Roshanrocks Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Other teams will become stronger and our A and B teams will looks more stronger than they actually are

Herculus Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 But they dont make sense to me. Whos gonna pay for all this and why? Thats something Herculus seems to overlook often. :winky: Thats the sad part.
Herculus Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 The problem that everyone is talking about here is no full time contracts of the players of associate nations. How about the A/B teams touring associates & playing the youth or U-23 team instead of the part timers? Ex: India B playing Canada U-23 in Toronto during a 1.5 month tour.
Ranjha Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Time for me to contribute to your super thread: End of my contribution
