head coach Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 Re: communazis are at it again KR Dhondy have ready his posts etc and I know guys have a HUGE difference of opinion I have met him personally, and he is not arrogant or anything of that sort We live in a cyber world now where we immediately judge people by avatars, monikers and their style of writing It's like never judge a book by the cover thing But I have a bone to pick with all you folks who debate on these topics here Why do you guys get so serious and worked up about selected topics and discussions with a person you might not meet in your life I know one can get passionate but take it easy fellas, life is too short for these petty vengeances If everyone was the same, this world would have finished b4 the climate change or whatever Good use of moderator tag Rajeev and Dhondy. I don't want to get into these needless , worthless debates which are time consuming and will eventually lead to abusefest . I am more of a reader and usually post small missives. It's CC who takes these debates too seriously. Even in this thread , I posted "Communism is an abject failure" and this was not even directed towards him , but he got all riled up. It has to do, in my opinion, with a falacy of most of us human beings - we do not want to be proven wrong. And if we are(proved wrong that is) we do not take very kindly to it. Be it in real life or cyberworld. Sometimes there is the ego kicking in, other times there is "what will others think if I let him get away with it". The fact that you equate CPI(M) in India with communazis like the Bolsheviks indicates that you do not know the difference between a democratic socialist, a democractic communist and a proleteriat dictatorship espousing communism. How can highly educated guys like you let a debate on an internet forum spiral out of control like this? Debates are the lifeblood of a forum such as this. We just need a modicum of self-restraint. I think it's time for a bit of introspection for all of us. Personally, I'd be gutted if any of you guys stopped posting here. How about a handshake and a fresh start? Except when it comes from some of ur favs then u will come up with master strokes like "these guys can take care of themselves let the gutter-langauge rule" little consistency goes a long way.. Besides I don't mind cc's langauge let him say whatever he wants but keep reminding him what was the topic he has this habit of drowning the issue by meandering talk so many here do particularly those who think floral langauge could be substitute for the substance. I very well know I am an insignificant fly in larger scheme of things. Trust me the day my assessment about islamist and communazi threat turns bogus I will dance on one leg. Problem is no matter how hard I look rationnale so far shouts the line I toe. Love to be wrong in this case who won't but am certainly not going to close my eyes just for pandering to someone's excercise in indifference or apologetics.
