Is Rafa the greatest Tennis Player ever??

Nadal is definitely one of the best ever now. Whether, he can surpass the big names to be considered as the best ever is something that we have to wait and watch for. Federer dominated tennis for over 4 years. Nadal played second fiddle until now and truly dominated only one year. The biggest problem with Nadal's tennis IMO is that he is very intense. As he gets a little older and more fragile, he will become injured more often as his body will not be able to keep up with his intensity and physicality. This will therefore definitely affect his tennis in the next few years. How he deals with this will go a long way in deciding whether he is the greatest of the lot. I didn't like Nadal's game in the beginning, but he has slowly started to win me over. He is a wonderfully modest person who just concentrates on the game. The way he has transformed himself to become an all-court player is just astonishing. I wish him much success!

Excellent read. :hatsoff: But I just feel that Federer > Rafa and its just my opinion :--D. Rafa has done remarkably well, and is surely going to be one of the greatest tennis player of all times, but for now its Federer (until he is playing).

^Yeah its like comparing Gavaskar (Federer) with Virat (Rafael). He will get there' date=' but he needs time[/quote'] I beg to differ - I don't think he will ever achieve the level of Fedex. He might win more slams or tournaments but the way Fedex dominated tennis for some years and more importantly the way he has played his game - in such a graceful and elegant manner :adore: :adore: :adore: :adore:

^:phehehe: the grunting is very, very irritating and even more so in the women's game.
This reminds me of an SMS that I got from my friend. Dad-> Can you please stop watching porn, I can hear it in the other room. Son-> Porn? Dad I am watching Sharapova playing tennis. Such is her grunts. Better than monica seles, whose grunts reminded more of the snoaring of a pig. :--D

Grace or no grace, winning in a sporty manner is what matters. And Rafa provides us with another element of sport, the grit and the determination which is a very important factor in sport. And his sliding shots are way too cool........
