Number of Indian players bought till now segregated by franchisees. Also includes retained players for the sake of the 7 players minimum criteria as they form the nucleus of the team rather than foreign players. CSK, DD and Kochi are winners on the Indian players front and seems to have made kept it in mind while making the picks. Most impressed with the final lineup of Kochi considering they are a new franchisee with no previous experience. They have picked up loads of bargain deals. Delhi Daredevils Veeru, Irfan, Venugopal Rao, Naman Ojha, Umesh Yadav, Ajit Agarkar, Ashok Dinda Total 7 Indian players bought by DD till now and hence relatively look quite solid on the 7 Indian players front. Mumbai Indians Sachin, Rohit, Bhajji and Munaf. Total 4 Indian playres till now by MI and look fair. Kolkata Knight Riders Gauti, YKP, Manoj Tiwary, Unadkat and Balaji. Total 5 Indian players by KKR and they also look relatively safe. Chennai Super Kings Dhoni, Raina, Vijay, Badri, Ashwin, Tyagi, Joginder and Saha. Total 8 Indian players by CSK till now and they are very strong on that 7 Indians criteria. Deccan Chargers Dhawan, Pragyan Ojha, Mishra, Ishant and Gony. Total 5 Indian players by DC but 4 of them are pure bowlers and so they are a bit unsafe on that front till now. Sahara Pune Warriors Yuvi, Uthappa, Nehra and Kartik. Total 4 Indian players and all of them quality players and so quite safe on that front. Royal Challengers Bangalore Kohli, Saurabh Tiwary, Kaif, Zak and Mithun. Total 5 Indian players and so quite safe on that front. Rajasthan Royals Only Indian player is Rahul Dravid. They seem to have totally screwed up the planning of 7 Indian players and the only one is Dravid who is also not the best of T20 batsman. They are heavily screwed on the 7 Indian players front unless they get loads of talent from uncapped domestic players. And to add their previous Indian talents like YP, Jadeja and Naman Ojha have already been bought by other teams. Kings XI Punjab Dinesh Karthik, Abhishek Nayar, Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla. They have total 4 Indian players till now and are ok on that front. Kochi VVS Laxman, Parthiv Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Sreesanth, RP Singh, R Vinay Kumar and Ramesh Powar. Total 7 Indian players and they are safe on that front. They have also grabbed 9 foreign players including many bargain deals such as Michael Klinger for 75K, O'Keefe for 20K, Perera for 80K, Hodge for 425K and McCullum for 475K. Not the mention their higher end purchases such as Mahela and Murali. They are looking one of the best and balanced teams on paper with a lot of quality bench strength too especially amongst foreign players.

RR seem to be on drugs. :hehe: DD and DC have the numbers (of players), but their Indian player list looks rather weak.
RR are screwed again for sure. DD are not that bad. At least most of their players barring Agarkar/Dinda (one would play I suppose) will be for the 7 players criteria. Veeru, Irfan and Naman Ojha are fair enough hitters and so that is not bad. Rao can give a stand if required while Yadav has bowled fairly well last season. DD are safe. DC have got 2 spinners and 2 pacers in the list and they have taken Dale Steyn and Rusty Theron too. So, a bit surprising at that combination as their balance seems a bit imbalanced.
