kabira Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Just watched highlights...man what a brutal knock.. After taking 21 runs of Tsostbe may be he should have played morkel quietly..but then he also tonked morkel without powerplay.
gaurav92 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Well thats how he plays, had he been a little more circumspect, he would have got into trouble more than being the aggressor, so can't blame him there, but surely he will learn to build an innings and play a much more subdued innings once he gets some experience.
Roshanrocks Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 Look here, man,,, where he was intending to go... zaheer Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 India's latest batting sensation Yusuf Pathan has said the daredevilry of Virender Sehwag inspired his batting after he landed in Mumbai on Monday. Pathan smashed a 70-ball 105 in the final ODI and though he couldn't stop India from losing the match by 33 runs and with it the series 2-3, his brilliant counter attack did give South Africa a huge scare and saw a substantial rise in his fan-following. When asked who his inspiration was, Pathan said: "The obvious answer to that is Sachin Tendulkar, but the daredevil approach has come from Virender Sehwag," said Pathan. "I was always inspired by the way Viru kept backing his own game despite people talking about the so-called shortcomings in his batting," MiD DAY quoted Pathan as saying. Before the ODI series against South Africa, Pathan was touted as a sub-continental bully who would not find similar success on bouncier wickets. But his performance in the Rainbow Nation against arguably the most versatile bowling attack at present, Pathan scored 166 runs from three games with a ton and a half-century at an average of 55.33 and a strike rate of 134.95. Batting at No 7, Pathan will also be crucial to India's chances at the World Cup. His raw power gives him the ability to clear the boundary even with a mishit and the team will be hoping he continues in the same rich vein of form http://www.sportal.co.in/cricket-news-display/yusuf-viru-inspires-me-109385
rohitsilhi Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Yousuf was aiming the straight hit over long on, but ball became the out swinger at last minute making the simple catch for the man. He is a very calm man and only went for shot because he thinks it is possible. If this man did not keep this thinking, we would not have reached position of losing by 30 runs. He is a very very big hitter and I am big fan. Carry on try hard Yousuf for the India and you will surely become the big star!
