ganeshran Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Hi, Does anyone have the complete cricket stats database (SQL Server or Oracle) for ODIs and/or Tests? If so could you please share? StatsGuru is very frustrating sometimes :icflove:
vpg0002 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Hi, Does anyone have the complete cricket stats database (SQL Server or Oracle) for ODIs and/or Tests? If so could you please share? StatsGuru is very frustrating sometimes :icflove: I am also looking for one such for my club. If you come across please do share the information.
ganeshran Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 ^^ Cool. Lets hope someone shares the database :icflove:
gaurav92 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Use features tab and click on Player's stats option here on ICF.
ganeshran Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Use features tab and click on Player's stats option here on ICF. But I cant run SQL queries against the players stats on ICF. So its not flexible. Statsguru is quite flexible but it becomes frustrating to work with it sometimes.
ganeshran Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 How much will you pay for it? does it cost money? How much ?
varun Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I've updated our statsdb dump (derived from parsing cricinfo scorecards) over here: http://www.indiancricketfans.com/statsdb.sql.gz

varun Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Thanks dude? :two_thumbs_up::icflove: Is the whole DB only 5.6 MB, I thought it would be much more Yeap ;-) .. Cricket data isn't as much as you'd think.
kabira Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I've updated our statsdb dump (derived from parsing cricinfo scorecards) over here: http://www.indiancricketfans.com/statsdb.sql.gz you should charge for it
ganeshran Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 you should charge for it :whack: Free and Open Software and Data...:two_thumbs_up::icflove:
varun Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 you should charge for it The scorecards are freely available on the net man. All I did was parse it and put it in a database. Hope people can use it to come up with some cool stats.
kabira Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 ^ I know, but you did all the good work of parsing it, I remember there were 3 sets of scorecards so you need to spend quite a time to build this db.
ganeshran Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Contains stats for nearly 5600 matches :hail:
ganeshran Posted March 11, 2011 Author Posted March 11, 2011 I have imported everything to SQL Server databases, if anyone wants let me know.
