Watched his first 6 overs. What i saw was pretty good bowling. Had everything you want from your main bowler, speed, bounce and swing. But keep in mind the pitch had plenty of help. He bowled mostly in mid 130's(felt lot faster though). Was getting a lot of bounce and appriciative outswing. He didnt really bowl those big inswingers he used to bowl when he came on to the scene but one to Rohit was a peach.

I can't understand how on the earth West zone got bowled for such a low score. They probably have most exp. and technically correct batsman alogn with Indian cap experience. The likes of patel, pujara, rohit, Jaffer etc are definately formidable batting line up. I think players are tired now, long long season. Some of them have been playing non stop...I guess fatigued kicked in.

Sarangi Joginder Sharma gave a fine exhibition of seam bowling with a six-wicket haul as North Zone beat West by five wickets to defend its Deodhar Trophy title at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium here on Wednesday. North's pacers made the best use of a helpful track in the morning after Amit Mishra lost the toss for the second consecutive time. They bundled out West for a paltry 101 inside 27 overs after which North achieved the target within 30 overs. Joginder, who was named man-of-the-match, struck early removing two West wickets at the score of 13. The Haryana bowler trapped rival captain Parthiv Patel in front and then got rid of an aggressive Kedar Devdhar making the youngster hit straight to Paras Dogra at point. At the other end, Ishant Sharma was showing how devastating he could be when in good rhythm. The lanky Delhi bowler constantly beat batsmen with his precise line and movement. He got his reward in his fourth over when Wasim Jaffer edged to wicketkeeper Nitin Saini. Ishant then produced a gem to uproot Rohit's off stump. Rohit Sharma had looked like he might play West out of the hole they found themselves in when he had struck Joginder for two consecutive boundaries on the offside, but it was to prove a false dawn as Ishant got into the act, removing Wasim Jaffer with an outswinger that kissed the edge and then beating Rohit all ends up with one that angled in. Rohit went for the drive but played down the wrong line to lose his off stump. Ravindra Jadeja only lasted three deliveries before getting an inside edge to a back-of-a-length delivery from Ishant that crashed into his stumps. Two balls later, he delivered a fine in-swinger to the left-handed Ravindra Jadeja, who inside-edged it onto the stumps. Ishant's Delhi Statemate Sumit Narwal also kept it tidy. He deserved more wickets than just the one of Cheteshwar Pujara, who was foxed by a gentle out-swinger. A determined Joginder came back and accounted for Siddharth Chitnis, Dhawal Kulkarni, Iqbal Abdulla and Jaydev Unadkat. This was the first time Joginder has taken more than five wickets in one-dayers. With half the side gone for 46, West were in serious trouble and it looked like the match might be over before lunch when they slumped further to 57 for 7. However, Iqbal Abdulla provided a modicum of resistance to make 28 and help West reach three figures. Joginder and Ishant shared nine wickets between them, with the former picking up 6 for 40 and the latter 3 for 22. A target of 101 was never going to trouble North, and though they lost early wickets, Ravi Inder Singh's patient 43 ensured there was never really any doubt about who the winner was going to be on the day. Mishra was delighted to lift North's 13th Deodhar Trophy. “I thought if they get around 180-190 it would be good (for us to chase). Both Joginder and Ishant bowled well,” said Mishra.
