Ten Team World Cup?

Away from India and others flying high, thought the below article might be of some interest to some people here, about how smaller countries are treated and how cricket can never be a truly global game if the ICC continue down this path. Anyway, after Ireland are eliminated, good luck to India. Thanks http://bit.ly/icSTai

The current format is good with 14 teams. This not only gives opportunity to smaller nations to play against big names, but also gives ego boosting to bigs brothers by winningg by large margins ..... 10 teams WC would be dull ... La De World Cup Cricket

Indeed it should be limited but why not 12? Have Ireland and to a lesser extent the Netherlands not shown they can be competitive. Of course there are the odd thrashings but the biggest in this tournament haven't been handed down to associates, rather full members Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Do big cricket nations not get bored of playing the same teams over and over for four years only to have to play them all again come the World Cup. Not good for cricket. As a governing body the ICC are supposed to support, foster and grow the game. Is telling small teams they never get their day in the sun and a chance to play against the greats from India and elsewhere really doing that?

I personally enjoy watching the minnow games as well. Minnow teams play in other big sports' world cups as well eg. soccer, rugby....How else are they supposed to get he exposure required??
