panesarv Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 With the form that Sehwag and Sachin are in, Kohli seems almost useless because he comes so late in the innings and is unable to perform. Raina, however, in that same situation excels. I also like this team setup because we can keep Yusuf's off-spin this way.

But Gambhir, Kohli and Dhoni together on flat pitches of India is a bit too much I think. The above team will do just fine and gives a good combination of hitting, solidity and tuk tuk, and part timers.

No justification in picking goofy

If Nehra is to be there then its only as a 3rd seamer but by the looks of things we need 2 spinners so it should be Ashwin in place of Nehra.

I'm not against Nehra for that last over - it was a very high pressure situation and anyone else could also have easily gone for 14-15 runs. But what I object to is Nehra in place of Munna.

But what I object to is Nehra in place of Munna. Nehra vs Munaf is a close one but Nehra with more experience and variations will be more useful in death overs. I do think that Dhoni will pick Nehra and he did say that Nehra will perform in crunch games so unless we are playing 3 seamers, Munaf is out.
