Jersey #10 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I thought the pitch was evenly balanced to help both batting and bowling department. There was a little bit of spin and a little bit of bounce for most of the 100 overs. The spinners had hard time bowling in the 1/3 of the second innings due to dew factor but the natural causes can not be avoided. The dew factor also slowed down the out field so it was disadvantage on both sides which is fair enough. I thought it was a perfect pitch for a world cup final. Thankfully it was not a highway patta wicket nor a cracked open pitch for bowlers. overall good stuff by the curator :two_thumbs_up:
Asoka Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 It was a pitch befitting the Grand Finale. Well done Curator Saab.
akshayxyz Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 It was normal balanced pitch, except for a bit of dew factor - and Sanga amplified his misery by ensuring to win at the toss.
