Sachin Tendulkar to endorse Census for free

Icon Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has decided to waive off his professional fees for the home ministry. Sachin Tendulkar has agreed to participate in an awareness campaign encouraging people to stand up and be counted in the last phase of the Census concluding on February 28. The Census department has also confirmed that the Master Blaster is on board for the next phase of campaigns to be publicized and aired in 12 languages, and which have cost the exchequer Rs 38 crore to produce. Commenting on the Master Blaster’s benevolent gesture, the Registrar General of India said that a message coming from a big star like Sachin would inspire everyone to follow it. The Census department stated that while Sachin Tendulkar was not a brand ambassador in the traditional sense, his kind gesture to shoot for the special campaign - where he would ask everybody to stand up and get counted – was gratefully appreciated. Sachin will be appealing to everyone to cooperate with the enumerators visiting everyone’s homes
