hari504504 Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 http://www.bharatrakshak.com/NEWS/newsrf.php?newsid=14684 Serves the Americans right for offering us their 'B' fighters and dragging us through all that NSG rubbish, good message sent across I would say ! Hail IAF ! I am hoping we get the Eurofighter ! Expensive but combined with the MKIs our airforce will easily become more than a match for anything the Chinese can come up with( it comes with full ToT along with AESA).
Ramzz Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Yes, good decision. Cannot trust the Americans with their sanctions and the hand holding with Pakistan. I feel, they might go for combo of Rafales and Typhoon. Rafales is not a bad choice on its own either. Both are good.

The Americans were also dragging their feet on ToT, I'd have been gutted if they were awarded the contract. Althouhg if you think of it - they are concerns were valid , they didn't think HAL was capable enough to manufacture the falcons. I would be a little concerned about the Eurofighters or Rafales coming out of HAL too. We need to set our house in order before the tech comes in.
Ramzz Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I think our manufacturers won't have a problem in making them :P
