Dayman Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 This is how I'd rank the IPL teams based on their performance in the 4 IPLs so far: 1. CSK (Obvious) 2. Bangalore (Haven't won a championship, but have been in 2 finals and one other semi) 3. DC (IPL2 Champs, semis in IPL 3) 4. Rajasthan (IPL 1 Champ, nothing since) 5. Mumbai (good last 2 seasons, but mediocre first 2) 6. Delhi (good first 2, mediocre last 2. Put them behind MI b/c MI never finished last) 7. Punjab (good 1st season, nothing since) 8. Kolkata (meh) 9. Kochi 10. Pune I think 2-5 are the most debatable. Didn't take the CL into consideration, but it wouldn't change the rankings anyways (Basically, CSK won one, and no other IPL team has done anything of note) What do you think?
Jersey #10 Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I would put DC and RR over RCB. Winning is better than making the finals over and over again.

There's a reason why country with 1 Gold medal and no other medal is ranked higher than a country with say 6 silvers and 10 bronzes in the medal standings. Teams winning the cup has to be ranked higher. If two teams have the same number of titles only then should the final & semi final appearances need to be considered.
