What makes thing worse is that his replacement Hughes is awful. Anything short hughes is a mess

^Yes, the age criteria should not just be for the openers but for the middle and the lower middle order too. It would be fair to say, they should have axed Punter and Hussey first as their form was pretty dismal to go with their age which is also on the wrong side of 30s And Hughes isn't all that good a plyer, his technique is all over the place.

I still have high hopes for Hughes, but he has to earn his place.. Hussey had a brilliant Ashes so can't get rid of him. Agreed on Ponting though, should of gone before Katich if we are being fair. For 2 reasons: 1. Katich has been much better 2. Khawaja has done more then Hughes
