Especially when it is completely peaceful and there are no potential law and order problems arising out of it. This for a movement which has enjoyed considerable public support

Stuge Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I'm not a lawyer either ,but police can say protest can lead to riots or there is threat to Anna or some terrorist group might try to plant bomb etc etc . Whatever ,We just have to agree govt fears people power and now they have started resorting to dictatorship like tactics. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Where was govt ,when Geelani was spewing venom in Delhi or gujjars/farmers came and vandalised jantar manter etc . Its shameful indeed :(
