Drop Bhajji and give Ashwin a chance

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: I never said that he should be axed or something. What I meant was that every bowler ha off days but in Bhajji's case he has been having too many off days this summer. And the economy rate is not what you want from your attacking spinner. I would love to see if Bhajji picks up a couple of wickets even after going for 60 runs, rather than a 0/50. What he does is after getting belted for a six, bowls a flatter ball and darts it so that the batsman doesn't get underneath the ball and tonk him again. but what he should do is, toss it up again and entice him for another false stroke. He gets most of his wickets as a result of batsman failing rather than him earning (Out hitting one in the deep on a full toss or attempting a reverse paddle and trying to be a lil too cheeky and missing a straighter one), I hope you are getting my point.
Trying to coach I guess. Old rule of coaching'If you listen to the fans you will be sitting with the fans"

^ Well mishra should have been axed after 1st. Then Bhaji axed after 2nd. Then in 3rd whoever gets least wickets is axed and is replaced by bhaji again. We should do same for batters. Kohli should have been axed after 1st odi as he failed. Then in last odi Dhawan has to go as he failed. Sehwag should be axed as he failed in his last match as well. Whoever gets least runs in next match has to go, as well as player with least wickets.
Hit the nail on the head.

I have seen many times in the past where Bhajji had similar figures were batsmen played him out for 25-35 in his ten overs, kept their wickets and killed other bowlers in the death overs. WI did a similar thing here but simply didnt have the class to go all the way As for his batting, this is not the thread for it

wah wah - if Bhajji doesn't perform' date=' criticize him, if he performs, still criticize him :hatsoff:[/quote'] I have always criticized Bhajji's inability to take wickets and will always will. Bowling darts for 10 overs will always cause your economy rate to be down, particularly with batsmen of the caliber of WI. In all other teams, its the role of the senior bowlers to take wickets and lead the attack while the newbies try to contain. In Indian bowling Harbhajan concentrates on bowling darts while the new comers need to take all the wickets. As a result, many times we pay dearly in the death overs

so now its his fault that the batsmen cannot make runs against his bowling?

Fans need to accept the fact that Bhajji is not an attacking option anymore,he is just a defensive option ,so expecting wickets from him is something thats not going to happen.

No, its his fault as a senior bowler to not take wickets and leave it on the new spinners. Heck, not even trying to take wickets because his main aim is to contain. That was not what Warne or Murali did, they were genuine wicket taking bowlers, not containing bowlers. And yes, those are the people I will compare Bhajji with, both because of his potential and experience. i have seen many times in the past when the opposition would be 3-4 down because of our seam bowlers and then Bhajji would bowl an amazing spell of 30-40 runs for 0 to 1 wickets and then we get killed in the death overs

May I ask the Bhajji Haters why we should not drop Praveen kumar and play Ashwin instead of hIm .If our spin trio is so strong then why we need that great swing bowler who performs In only 1 match and play 10 useless matches .Ashwin has proved that he can bowl with new ball

So true.

Maybe if they are under pressure in the last few overs they wil take risky shots. I guess if there is hate then this logic does not exist.
