King Tendulkar Posted June 7, 2007 Share Posted June 7, 2007 Gavaskar is senile and should be no where near indian committes --------------------------------------------------------------- NEW DELHI, June 7: In the latest development of who will be Team India's new coach, Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian captain who is on the seven-man panel that will decide India’s next coach, has reportedly backed John Emburey as contender for the post, according to sources that revealed to a TV channel, Times Now . According to the sources, senior players including skipper Rahul Dravid backed Graham Ford's candidature, but Gavaskar has shown his keenness on Emburey to succeed Greg Chappell. In fact, the senior players are unhappy with Gavaskar as they were not consulted on Emburey's candidature. The players do not want the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to make a wrong choice. Backing Emburey, Gavaskar is said to have come unprepared for the BCCI meeting on June 4 in Bangalore.
