LimoMan Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Hi, wondering if some of the great minds of ICF can provide some tips etc. so i am working on the site for someone and would like to the fastest way to get the site on the top or on the first page in the local area. also if there is anyway one competitor can manipulate your google map listings? if so how? thanks all.
Dark Warrior Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 If you are good at something, never do it for free. :winky: So if you're interested then revert back. I can give you some discount being an ICFer. :icflove:

akshayxyz Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 0. Wrong place. Your question is very generic, no clue about what your product/service is. If you are in starting phase and looking at long term then focus on quality of your service/product. No idea about what ur product/service is, anyway, here are some good threads for starters. http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=351709 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=187668 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=341138 I suggest do not waste time on ICF. Post your queries on such sites dedicated for entrepreneurs as ycombinator/hackernews, there are relevant QnA topics on Quora too, stackoverflow, and many more. YC is for hardcore startup people, spend time on its forums.

I hope I don't get b& for advertising here. :D :D

Not a good excuse for someone looking forward to do SEO :). It would not take more than 10-15 minutes to do so. (hint, ffox/chrome - open in new tab., (right click+'t')....)

(hint, ffox/chrome - open in new tab., (right click+'t')....) i am no IT expert.... the website is for a relative of mine..... i know the basic webdesigning and seo like meta tags etc, directories etc.... but not to great knowledge.... check out the website in my signature... that's the one i designed and working on.
akshayxyz Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 ^ I wrote about, how you could quickly cross the 50 posts limit within 10-15 minutes. I wont write more than this, as it would be against ICF rules, and perhaps so is your "link in signature".
