Jayawardene rates England most consistent Test team

Despite their poor track record in the sub-continent, England are still the most consistent Test playing nation in the world, said former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene. Jayawardene felt that England is the best Test team at the moment, especially when it is playing at home. "I think England is the best Test playing nation in their home conditions. They have played really good cricket. I think England have not competed that well in the sub-continent and it''s the thing they have not conquered," said Jayawardene, who is currently featuring in Sri Lanka''s Test series against England. As i recall, they have yet to beat South Africa and India at in their "home" conditions for sometime now. Their only wins at home in recent memories has come against a fading Australia, and the "mighty" West Indies and Pakistan. Lest he forget, England didn't beat SL last time around.
