Last test against Pakistan in December, reminds me of the test match India lost to Pakistan thanks to the likes of Tendulkar, Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and the rest. The freakin defensive attitude started there and is still going on. Sehwag, Anil Kumble and even Balaji come to mind for their gutsy efforts.

And I still remember the slow feet VVS unable to read Afridi's flipper.
