Bell's Dismissal

Bad decision to recall bell..he was out fair and square. We Indians are way too generous.
Yes we are generous coz we can't play like cheats. We have been taught one way - Play in the right spirit. Yes it looks foolish at times, but in the end we know we were right. "Woh khiladi hi kya jo jeet ke liye apne zameer tak ko daav pe lagaa de"

Thank God, Dhoni's decision has saved me an earful of listening to the the sky commentary complain (again about india...) about this for the rest of the day and possibly for the rest of the series!

If that was the case why did Dhoni attempt the appeal in the first place. I applaud his change of heart though

Bell was in some dreamland after getting to the century.. Morgan was telling him to not come for another run.. but this guy didn't even attempt to get to the other end

I think we don't have that "Usne aisa kiya toh main bhi waisa hi karunga" mentality. We are playing the way we want to play i.e in the right spirit. Doesn't matter what others feel about it, but I shouldn't feel that I have not done the right thing. To me Dhoni has done the right thing, don't know about others.

I think you guys have 0% moral rights to talk about anything post this - 87m2d6cV4F0 And we deserve the credit for our change of heart. Atleast we didn't cheat first and then cry in the post-match conference to show how sorry we were. Another tidbit - India would NEVER go crying to the opposition to have a "word". We are men and we believe we can win on the ground.

Yes Bell was clearly running for the 4th run and he also looked back at the fielder and stopped. Check out the replays again if you missed it...clearly the play was still on, the ball was live.

Saying sorry in some post match presentation means nothing, really. Dhoni has just showed the english where he stands in front of them

WTF MSD, WTF, why was appeak withdrawn. Are we only guardians of Spirit of the Game. What Bell did was stupid, he jogged as if he was taking 4th run. Thats stupid. I am really p*ssed...Do you think England would have withdrawn the appeal. I doubt it. They appealed for that bhajji dismissal when there was big nick. I don't care now, we will lose this test match and series and number 1 ranking. WTF...an opportunity was presented to us and we did not take it.

He's gone there to win us a series. And given the English team's track record at discipline and the spirit of cricket bullsheet they were harping about, I would be shocked if the Jellybean throwing, 12th man using, abusing Poms would've done the same. Sunny made a brilliant point about how NZ did the same vs Sri Lanka and won the Spirit of Cricket award that year. Hypocrites!
