Dhondy Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 It's a fabricated story. Cotton buds are not recommended for any form of deafness and the level of sound required to cause hearing loss is extreme, certainly not what you'd expect to encounter at a cricket academy. Sehwag would be expected to be exposed to louder sounds at any airport. There's something else going on. Indian players keep their medical problems confidential, as they well should, far from the eyes of prying fans. Zaheer managed to camouflage his ankle problem as a hamstring strain for quite a while, didn't he? If you bowl long enough with a dodgy ankle, you'd end up hamstrung.
