NDTV announces Telethon to raise money for the ôupport My School' Campaign New Delhi:In keeping with the NDTV philosophy of promoting critical issues, NDTV, in partnership with Coca-Cola India, CAF & UN-Habitat, launched the ôupport My School campaign early this year with an to attempt to create Awareness on Water and Sanitation, Environment and Healthy Active Living in India. Taking the campaign to the next level, NDTV has announced a 12-hour LIVE Telethon across its network channels on September 18, 2011 from 9 AM to 9 PM to raise funds for Water, Sanitation and Infrastructural provisions for schools across India. Through the ôupport my School initiative NDTV aims to reach out to over 50-100 schools in India, across 8 states, and work towards betterment in the areas of Sanitation & Health, Sports & Recreation Facilities and Improvement in overall infrastructure and environment. Announcing the Telethon, Smeeta Chakrabarti, CEO, NDTV Lifestyle said, ůDTV is proud to be associated with this campaign. We aim to raise funds for at least a 100 schools and more. India's a country which takes pride in it's education system yet looking at the state of schools and how the poor girls continues to be treated shabbily even now, has been a real eye- opener for all of us. Kudos to those of who worked diligently to amass more than eight crores in a single day!

His answer was typical dumb-actor types. This guy was just clueless, what was asked and what to say. Should have rather stay shut.
