Ata ur Rehman and Rashid Latif named Ijaz as a fixer in the Qayyum report. Its another thing that there was no action taken on the basis of that report Even Ijaz was past his best at that time Qayyum's report came at the end of 99 he only played for pakistan till 2001 Now that restriction cant be made to Ijaz ,wasim was also named in that report and he is coaching kolkatta knight riders team??...

Yes he shouldnt be. The letoff in the Qayyum report let him escape with his dignity intact. If he had been convicted and punished, future generations of Pakistani cricketers would be wary of indulging in such acts. Anyone who indulges in nefarious activities should be named and shamed and not let anywhere near a cricket field again.
carnish Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Oh ho Ijaz has worked as fielding coach even with the senior side.... he has the experience so i dont see why he cant do this job the only great fielder pakistan has ever produced is afridi... i hope now that he is not the captain he can be made the in-team fielding expert... :winky:

Cricket Tragic Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Wasnt Ijaz named in the Qayyum report. He was also the brother in law of another fixer - Salim Malik. IMO such individuals should not be allowed in the cricket setup That report named pretty much the whole team of the 90s. :cantstop:
