Best batsmen after the age of 35

Barry Richards reckons that 35 is roughly the age when batsmen decline and he has spoken about what happened to his game when he crossed that age. Interesting to look at the records of players once they hit that mark. I started with a minimum of 2000 runs but that excludes several players like Bradman and the 4 great English batsmen - Hobbs, Hutton, Sutcliffe and Hammond. So I reduced it to 1500 runs. Even then, only a handful of batsmen average over 50 after the age of 35. Special mention for Gooch - he didn't quite manage an average of 50 but he did average 48 over more than 50 tests with 12 hundreds after the age of 35. :hatsoff: Indian fans won't forget the summer of 1990. :(( 5yc038.png
