Will we see similar tracks for the Eng series next year?

The three test pitches so far in the series have been disappointing, even though we are 2-0 ahead. Against a better batting line up, getting 20 wickets in a test on such tracks is going to be next to impossible. Question now is, are we going to see similar tracks for the Eng tests next year or will we see tracks with bounce, if not much turn, for the spinners? We are going to do our chances no good if we continue to roll out such red carpet for the visiting sides. Saw that vs the kiwis last year and now again in this series. Does the BCCI have a plan for that? Remember reading an interview of Alistair Cook where he said how the top leadership at ECB had a communication sent to the grounds hosting tests in Eng last summer and giving them clear instructions about the kind of tracks the team wanted. Here what we see is the captain/bowlers criticizing the pitch, showing absolutely no communication between the board and curators negating the home advantage. And then there are other curators who chime in saying our bowlers complain too much. Can our curators, for once, shed their big egos and give the team what it wants (4 turners) for the biggest home series for us in recent times). Hope we do not have any Nagpur 2004 type of fiasco next year. Your thoughts?

IMO, WI batsmen by no means are lesser against fast bowlers. They are very good batsmen against fast bowling. They struggle against spin. And so does English team.

i think the deliberate criticism done recently will make the curators think and we shall see dust bowls in that series.

I hope all the tracks are like the ones at kanpur (vs SA) or Mumbai(vs aussies). We get grazing fields when we tour them, we should return the favor and the cricket will be exciting. If anyone whines just ask him to stfu.

Agree. No point having batathons on flat pitches. I would rather have a 3 day Test with result plus we should play to our strength which is spin.

We must provide the kind of track that we had in Mumbai in 2004 against Australia after we were 2-0 down in the series. michael clark took 6 wkts for 9 runs on that wkt and Aus were bowled out for 93 chasing 107. We must only have turning tracks otherwise we may not win the series.

Even Dhoni said that he would like to see pitches in Ind which turns square from the 3rd session on day one.... he wants his spinners to do all the work so that he wont have to bat well and can blame the pitch each time he fails... :giggle: but seriously if aussies, kiwis and saffers can produce green tops when we tour there why should we not produce rank turners in india...
