yoda Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 http://specials.rediff.com/cricket/2006/dec/18spl1.htm Nice piece on Sreesanth by rediff. Didn't know he started off as a leg spinner.

kabira Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Re: Fast and Furious...Sreesanth thats was beauty of a leg break..
Lurker Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Re: Fast and Furious...Sreesanth Yep, he started as a batsman who could bowl leg spin. Which is the reason why his sixes(the one off Nel or the one against Taylor in West Indies) are good clean hits and not the kind you usually attribute to a tail ender - lack of feet movement and ugly swipe. What has peeved me recently is how scribes are falling over each other to describe him as "eccentric". What kind of cr@p is that? Dravid got it right when he called Sreesanth a character, Graeme Smith called him the same but trust the so called educated journalists to coin a passionate and abashed cricket player "eccentric".
