I have seen a couple of them in Vegas. Speaking of Vegas last weekend I was up there. Drove all the way from Orange County merely to have lunch buffett at Paris. talk of spontaneity. The food was good but more for the sea-food lover which I am not. The desserts were delicious though slrrrrp :two_thumbs_up:
Lurks , you ever been to the Thamba ?

Now ' date=' their is a desi guy from Delhi with whom I generally hook up for golf. I am at a handicap of around 12 now. Only problem he is better than me , in fact he is one of the select few who used to play in Delhi from high school days. Rich kid , I guess.[/quote'] So , do you have a complete club kit ? With all the irons i suppose. Whats your longest hit on the straight ? 300 yards ?

Yes I have. Did not particularly enjoy it though Sriram. Vegas should get some good Indian restaurant. There is one at Rio whose name beats me but even that's nothing xtraordinary.
But isnt their variety just mind-boggling Lurks ? It took half an hour to figure out which dishes were where. :D But probably the costliest Buffet i have ever had - $20.

Yes , I have taylor made driver R7 460 which costs around 200 USD , my taylor made three wood costs 150 USD and I have Callaway Big bertha Iron sets which costs around 600 USD and then their is the putter from Odessey which costs around 100 USD. Golf is pretty expensive I guess. But Ravi disagrees with me. :D My longest drive with the driver is around 300 yards range although it is the shorter game which decides the scores most often.

But why the heck did you have to worry about? You are only a college going kid, make sure you eat 5 people's worth :D:D Thamba buffet is certainly not cheap...more so when you consider you can eat at Monte Carlo or Luxor at just about that price(buffett wise of course)

That IS expensive. And dont you guys have to pay yearly club membership fee too ? Or is it pay-per-use ? Pardon me , if i am totally ignorant about this. I have zilch knowledge about golf.

Hehe.. We tucked ourselves completely and when the stomach felt like it could take no more , we gave it a rest for 10 mins , and started again. :D A funny anecdote was, there was this Indian "looking" attendant at that place. One of our guys started talking with him in Hindi . The guy blinked for a few moments , and then confessed that he was actually Mexican and the owners had hired him to pose as Indian since it was an Indian restaurant. :haha:

Club membership depends on the course . I play in a medium priced public course wherein the annual membership is $600. But I have to pay 15 USD cart fee every time I play.

Was it a part time working at a apartment leasing office ?
Nah , I worked at the IT dept of our univ as Documentation speacialist. We had to go around on-campus housing , noting down the phone-wireless specifications. All day , we roamed around in the golf cart.
