India lose their maverick menace

There is a comments box at the bottom. Here's what I wrote:

Ever heard of opening night blues, Simon? In your haste to write off India's bowlers in your rather strident piece yesterday, you forgot to take cognizance of the fact that this was the biggest stage of all, and may have had an unsettling effect on the young and inexperienced bowlers. After the most incisive bowling spell at the Mecca of cricket in recent memory, you come back and all you can talk about is the lethargy of English batsmen post-deluge, Pietersen's non-dismissal and Tendulkar's senescence. That was the talking point of the day, was it? Maybe it was, in the little scruffy note books of scribes such as yourself, who would fail to recognize a stirring passage of play if it were in a head-on collision with yourself, but for the rest of us, the day was defined by the wonderful swing bowling of India's underrated practitioners to reap 6 for 30 from what had seemed a hopeless situation for their team on day 1. You lot like to blame the weather for all your ills, don't you?

Here is an update from Simon Hughes "Medium pace with M" writer. The first day he absolutely put the Indian bowlers under the scanner. After the result on the second day there is not one mention of good bowling by India. All he mentions is Pommie players were not mentally tuned after the rains. Eventually he moves on to just concentrate on Tendulkar's knock but not one single mention ofPoms hapless batting or some really good bowling by India. This is pommie journalism at its best :haha:
Ravi: he is writing for the Daily Telegraph, and I honestly expect no less drivel and myopia, given his limitations, intellectual and editorial.
