1983-2011 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 because a team has to play 7 indian players. its all about supply and demand. indian players are available for full season unlike foreign players from some nations. why would a team spend $200,000 to $400,000 on a player in the auction if they are not going to be available for a full season because they would waste that money from their capped auction purse on the day even though they would not have to pay them full amount if they do not play full season. was there an another indian player like jadeja in the auction today and the answer is no, so obviously he was going to go for higher amount because everybody wanted him in their playing 11 plus it was an auction so the amount is bound to rise in the bidding process. why the ferk dont the non indian fans understand this?
IKnowU Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 It should be a free market and no restrictions on the quota. Then only the true value of players can be established.
