How come our fast bowlers don't develop?

how come we have no batsmen in our team? and we are stuck with the crap like Malik and Hafeez to count on...i cant believe these 2 people are still playing as first choice cricketers in our team...little bit of this and little bit of that and we have them as super stars...please pcb get rid of them

Actually we do have fast bowlers and have managed to unearth quite a few since the last 10 years but it's the lack of development I am concerned about. We had likes of Nehra, Munaf, Irfan, Balaji, Ishant, Sreesanth, RP Singh, Zaheer to name a few but they all regressed barring Zak.

How come our fast bowlers don't develop? India must be the only major team in world cricket whose pace bowlers are much better when they are new to intl scene and forget about developing, they actually regress to a point where they can't even part of 2nd XI after some time. On the other hand we see the likes of Broad, Finn, Tremlett, Bresnan from Eng, Sidde & Hilfenhaus from Aus and Southee from NZ to be much better than they were earlier. When Ishant burst on the intl scene and made Ponting look like a novice in Aus, everyone thought sky was the limit for him and he was clearly much better than Broad. Fast forward 2 years and Broad, Southee and other have leap-frogged Ishant to such an extent that Ishant can't even be compared with those bowlers. And it's not Ishant alone who finds himself in this unique conundrum. For Indian fans the list is endless - Irfan, Balaji, RP Singh etc. with Sreesanth about to join them soon. Only Zak managed to buck the trend to some extent by going to county cricket for a season when he seemed to be done and dusted. But other than him nobody has managed to come back and it's ironic that Zaheer was saved by county cricket and not by BCCI and the systems/academies we have in India like MRF pace academy, NCA etc. It's amazing that BCCI still hasn't done anything to address the situation knowing fully well that fast bowlers are the most important part of the team and no team can be a great one without a good bowling attack. You can cover up for poor batsmen but poor bowlers will expose the team everytime as bowlers exert far greater influence on the game than a batsman. A batsman may get a good ball and may not play any part in the match but a bowler can bowl a bad ball or a bad spell and still come back. I sincerely hope some IPL franchise or some state cricket association in India will finally come up with a plan to address the situation and focus on improving the standard of our fast bowling and give our pace bowlers help and guidance they sorely need.
