J P K Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, who led his hometown Sialkot to their seventh national Twenty20 title on Sunday, is disappointed over his team not being given a chance to represent Pakistan in the Champions League T20. "It is disappointing and sad that Sialkot, who are such a terrific Twenty20 outfit, have never got an opportunity to represent Pakistan in the Champions League and prove their worth against the domestic Twenty20 champions of other countries," Malik said after the final win against Karachi Dolphin He said except for the first edition of the Champions League, when Sialkot were due to play in the event, they had been constantly ignored by the organisers of the Champions League. "We have proven ourselves to be the best T20 side in Pakistan domestic cricket and I think the players deserve a chance to play against the best and prove themselves," Malik said. He said the financial incentives on offer in the Champions League were encouraging for any team. "I hope this year the Pakistan Cricket Board also follows this up with the organisers and efforts are made to give Sialkot Stallions a chance to represent their country in the Champions League," he said. Eight top teams qualify from the National Twenty20 Championship for the lucrative Super Eights competition, which ended on Sunday. Sialkot Stallions, which have been captained by Malik since T20 cricket started in Pakistan domestic cricket, now hold both the national T20 and Super Eights titles. Malik pointed out that the last Champions League had thrown up new talent for other teams and the same could be true for Pakistan. "We have some exciting young players in our team and they deserve a chance to play in the Champions League and prove themselves," he stated. http://cricketnext.in.com/live/news/pak-teams-should-get-a-chance-in-clt20-malik/64819-13.html
Ultimate_Game Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 How is it that Pakis who claim to hate IPL and Champions League and want nothing to do with BCCI suddenly change their tune come IPL/CL time Same with ex-Pakis like Azhar Mahmood. The guy was literally crying on TV when India beat Pakistan in the world cup and didn't want anything more than a SL win in the final. Come IPL time the phucking ***** wants to be in India. i tell you the hypocracy of pakis knows no bounds. I can already see what will happen... Mahmood will come in, earn some easy money, go back and then b***h/moan/whinge about India & Indians some more just like Afridi, Sohail Tanveer etc. did in the past. I guesss this is what "large hearted" means in Pakiland - contradict yourself, bend over wthout any self-respect and then make a joke of yourself talking big after the fact :haha:
saneindian Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Why do they want to play CL or IPL? Weren't their national pride hurt by Modi and IPL? And given the idiotic statement from their retarted board chief that BCCI is scared of Pak team, wonder why they even expect anything from the BCCI Keep them away from the leagues.

Needforspeed Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 CLT is not an ICC event. Its a joint venture of BCCI, Cricket Australia and SA Board. No Pakis needed.

Ultimate_Game Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 That was awesome :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Yup it was :haha: Best part was watching Sir Aggy sit there with a huge grin on his face while Mahmood was trying his best to hold in his tears :hysterical: And when one English commie asked Mahmood who would win in the final Mahmood goes "Lanka, definitely Sri Lanka" :hysterical: It was so bad and pathetic that even the English commies were laughing at him :cantstop:
