straighttalk Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 I am discarding Tamim only...once Clarke comes i guess they will open up one spot for him..just my guess and i pray to god, clarke develops a niggle ..bcos he and ganguly in the same t20 lineup is a horrible idea...ryder and smith cant be dropped. only target is mathews place or alfonso thomas..common sense says until the guy replacing mathews (fergusson, wright, or samuels) fail msierbaly, clarke with his t20 credentials shouldnt be a part of the team...but wiht his stature, he has to be included. question is where... he cant be in the 15-20 overs..he has to bat in the beginning with SCG. Pray, ganguly and clarke batting from voer 6-15...that will be game over right then and there

Clarke can be stable at one end, run quick singles and hit some boundaries. Something that Angelo Matthews is trying to do right now. (Since Matthews is not really in form, he is unable to hit those sixes as well). Plus, he is a good fielder and will probably bowl a couple of overs as well. A 30-ball 40 has a lot of value in T-20, if you have a couple of power-hitters in the team. :pw: has Uthappa, Smith and Ryder; so a couple of solid slighty-blow batters are not really a problem.
