sandtest
Sardar Patel was true visionary leader of India, if one will see Tibet example. Patel use to call Tibet as the last outpost of India in Himalayas. He realized India's stakes in Tibet both culturally and politically at a very early stage. Patel pointed out that Kailash Parvat in Tibet was reason enough for us to have a stake in Tibet, because Kailsash is mentioned in ancient Hindu literatures and it's reverence by Hindus as abode of Shiva. But sadly we were having anglicized gandhian like Nehru as our PM. I would say Patel as PM was thousand times better than Nehru, if he was given opportunity in final decision makings. Patel urged Nehru to send army in Tibet and sign a defense pact with them, well before Chincommies entrenched themselves there. Tibet in return requested India to take care of her defense. But that Nehru kept stone walling and his respect to "socialism" not only given Chincommies an opportunity to invade helpless Tibetans but later they took away our own land and still continue to claim Arunachal. All credit to Nehru....this guy has caused more damage to India than any leader in Indian history and still we glorify him in our history textbooks as "Chaa Chaa Cheee Chee" Nehru!. huh. CC1981
we needed an iron man Iron man who is sane would be a good start. RSS/VHP/SS are not run by sane people. Just simply realizing the problem and having a lot of angst about it doesnt mean one is capable of finding the solution or even approach the solution. feverpitch
we needed an iron man Did 'we'? I thought 'we' eliminated the one person with the credibility as well as the capacity to lead India on the premise that he would have been an 'iron man'.
