yoda Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I am trying to get some info for someone in India and since I have been out of the GC loop forever, would like some folks who were recently or currently involved in the F2A category to help. Per http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5733.html, the current date is Feb 2010 which means the backlog is just 2.5 years. From what I remember from more than a decade ago, it would take spouse of GC holders more than 3 years to get current and my feeling was that things have only gotten worse in all categories in the last decade or so. Does this current date of Feb 2010 mean that if someone applies in this category today, there is a good chance their date would be current in 2-3 years or can it take much longer - like 5-6 years? I did notice that this date was much behind last year and so and has only recently (in the last 2 months) moved this close.
