Magneto
Does Venky have a T20 cup and ODI world cup medal? No but he did get sacked as bowling coach :hysterical: It's a sorry state of affairs when you are looking to Venky as an ODI and test leader. Don't twist what I said. Venky being a far better ODI bowler than Sreesanth does not mean that Venky is an ODI leader. Sreesanth has stood on the shoulders of giants and have managed to get his hands on those medals (World Cup and T20). Heh, even Yousuf Pathan and Piyush Chawla has those medals. He's done precisely nothing in those tournaments, and his performance was embarassing actually in the 2011 World Cup. Prasad at least won us (and was also the 'Man of the Match') two crucial ODIs against Pakistan in two successive world cups, and played a huge role in this 5-0 lead we talk about when talking about Indo-pak battles. Sreesanth hardly has a worthy performance in his ODI career. Link to comment
Needforspeed
All said and done guys...Really wish Sreesanth was 100% fit. Without doubt he is much better that the Trundler twins Koomar & Mithun. The only good news...another trundler favorite for selection, G.Aravind got injured today. Link to comment
Magneto
remember Vinod Kambli? In a few years, we'll actually take Kambli and Sreesanth's name at the same breath, and discuss how they wasted their talents and opportunities just because they were megalomaniac megadonkeys. Come to think of it, they are quite similar. Link to comment

He is pretty much finished, and even when he comes back he'll be the 5th or 6th choice bowler of the team. Would do well as a dancing waterboy though :yay: Link to comment

He didn't a chance to play much in world cup 2011 but v Bangladesh he was extremely unlucky, bowled very well. To come into a final and bowl after having been left out, he did well. He rattled the lankans with pace 140-145k, even ZK went for 35 runs in his last 2 overs. Santh lucky mascot ki roop mai aaya. If he was looked after, he would be leading bowler in all formats. :yay: Link to comment

Someone who concedes 53 in 5 overs against the super minnows of cricket on a day where no other specialist bowler have even conceded 50 after bowling for 10 overs, is surely unlucky indeed. He is unlucky he plays cricket, should have been luckier had he stuck to his break dance maybe. Even the above mentioned chappu chaprasi or pappu halwai would have done better than him against Bangladesh. And he indeed a lucky mascot, so Team India should carry a cartoon of him in important tournaments; no point carrying the whole creature instead. Link to comment

achilles
I remember Sreesanth being benched after that famous ODI where he got into a tiff with Symonds. He was the 12th man for the next game. After the game, the Aussies complained that Sreesanth was sledging them even as the 12th man. The man is amazing. How many players even as 12th men are able to get under the skin of the opposition while simply carrying a bottle of water and a towel on the ground? :cantstop: Link to comment

The way he stepped out and hit Nel for a six, I had a lot of fun. Only time I appreciated his dancing skills. He came like a fresh force to the team, as someone whose antics you would watch out for. Got carried away, and basically because he's stupid, couldn't control himself and do justice to whatever he had. I still appreciate him for holding on to the catch of Misbah though. Had he been hardworking and intelligent, he could have done much better. He can only make a decent comeback if he gets a new brain, which is pretty difficult. Link to comment
