KARACHI, Dec 26: The growing inclination of Pakistani cricketers towards religion has led to an increased number of former and present players leaving for Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Yousuf are leaving for Jeddah on Tuesday, while former cricketers Rashid Latif and Jalaluddin have already gone for the holy trip. Many of them left after playing in the domestic Twenty-20 competition. "Afridi and Yousuf will leave on Tuesday with a group that also includes former opener Saeed Anwar," Karachi coach Sagheer Abbas said. Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq are also expected to leave for Saudi Arabia soon. These players will miss the short conditioning camp beginning on Tuesday in Lahore for the probables of the South Africa tour. "Conditioning camp would be held without coach Bob Woolmer and the team's support staff as they have gone to South Africa for Christmas celebration and whoever is available will report to the camp for training," Pakistan Cricket Board Media manager Ehsan Malik said.

When u wear sthg on sleeve as a public figure get ready to cop some flaks.. as long as it;s clean it should nto bother anyone.. Rest assured the ganag dip ritual starts after and before every series collectively by indian players they will have to cop this too. :wtg:

To show the hypocricy of the paks. Taking part in this look at me, look how religious I am. Then welcoming with open arms druggies. Smacks of hypocricy
What planet are you on? What role did Yousuf or Afridi have in the drugs scandal?

Re: Pak players of to Haj C'mon guys. This thread is completely unnecessary. It has no relevance to cricket at all. People's religious beliefs and practices are none of our business, period.

Re: Pak players of to Haj This thread is the funniest I have seen on ICF so far  The concept of sending an entire team on a pilgrimage amuses me

So if someone's cousin is a murderer then that makes that person a murderer too?

Where does it mention anything about the entire Pakistan team being sent to Pilgrimage?
